is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation with a MISSION to enhance the Emotional, Social and Spirited Health of individuals having Developmental, Intellectual and Behavioral Disabilities through a program centered on Weekly Social & Recreational Outings and an Education & Vocational Job Development Training program for the HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.

ALL EVERY PARENT WANTS IS WHAT'S BEST IN LIFE FOR THEIR ADULT CHILD!

As with most people, mentally handicapped individuals experience Social Bonding and Physical Contact when placed in settings with other people. They tend to feel accepted and Loved on a regular basis and will be HAPPIER, more SPIRITED and less prone to anxiety.

Once a week for every 4-week period, they will be going on trips, taking in the sites while encountering different social surroundings, then going out and enjoying lunch with their friends in various area restaurants. Once a week they show-up knowing, THAT TODAY IS THEIR DAY.

GREATER KANSAS CITY RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION and HOTEL & LODGING ASSOCIATION of GREATER KANSAS CITY TEAMS WITH JOHNNY BOY FOUNDATION 

 Two of the largest associations in Kansas City are teaming up with johnny boy foundation to enrich the lives of those with Developmental Disabilities.

For over a century, the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City have served as a guiding light for the restaurants, hotels and hospitality industry.  From promoting high ethical standards to training the upcoming workforce, these associations have permanently shaped the service culture in greater Kansas City.

Now, johnny boy foundation and these associations are embracing a plan to provide meaningful opportunities to people with Developmental, Intellectual and Behavioral Disabilities through programs centered on Weekly Social Outings and Educational & Vocational Job Development Training.

The Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City have embraced the chance of integrating individuals with Developmental Disabilities into the greater Kansas City workforce.
