My son John has Fragile X and has experienced tremendous growth as an individual through extended Social Involvement. Special Olympics, as well as being the Varsity Team Manager for both Soccer and Basketball at BVNW High School, kept him busy, Happy and involved with other people. He excelled and was a Happy individual. Before and after graduation, John, my wife and I started to explore what was next for his Life. After exhausting all possible opportunities, I decided to take John to work with me. He quickly fit in with the employees and regular guests on a first name basis. After I retired we found ourselves trying to figure out John's next step in LIFE. John is in a home with all his friends he grew up with, is very HAPPY, but now is faced with what to do during the weekdays that will allow him to GROW as an adult.

Recognizing that John and others needed Choices in their Lives led to the formation of jbf.
